Jon Robinson

President, Treasurer

Jon Robinson is an upstanding member of the community, as well as the recovery community and has been clean since September 17, 2002. As a youth, Jon watched his mother struggle as a single mother paying the bills & living from paycheck to paycheck. Like most families in this situation, it left Jon with some extra time on his hands as a kid; had it not been for the Boys Club of America, he may have ended up worse than he did.  By age 31, Jon turned to drugs, alcohol, petty crime and eventually found himself in the court system. Jobless, penniless, and couch surfing with a nudge from the judge he got involved with 12 step meetings, completed diversion & today has over 21 years clean. He does tireless volunteer service for Narcotics Anonymous, which include sponsorship, meeting building, newcomer outreach, H&I (Hospitals and Institutions work), recovery softball, and is well-respected and well-known throughout the Portland Area recovery community. Presently Jon works for Jacob’s Heating & Cooling. His frontline outreach work has led to a passion to help others suffering from the ravages of homelessness and addiction. His gratitude for the life he has today is beyond measure, and he credits it all to his god & making the correct CHOICES throughout his journey of recovery.
